Crossing off Countries

After only being here a few short days, I was already able to cross a country off my list. We drove a short 20 mins (that's it!) to cross into Germany.

Lake Constance is mostly surrounded by Switzerland, except for Konstanz, which is a part of Germany. Cam had visited before so he was a great tour guide, including pushing me onto the grass once we reached the sidewalk that turns into Germany. I thought he was pushing me onto grass I was not supposed to walk on, and I panicked because I thought it was too soon to already be getting into trouble in another country.

Something that caught us off guard when Cam first arrived was that most stores and businesses are closed on Sundays, so we had a plan to walk around Lake Constance, grab some lunch and see the town. The little town ended up having an Oktoberfest celebration happening and there were people everywhere. The atmosphere was so fun with buskers, people drinking on patios and so many people dressed up. We walked around the town to see all the shops that were closed, so I will definitely be coming back.

I already know I am going to love exploring new places like this. I love walking around, seeing shops and local businesses, and everything that is going on. Not to mention that the beer was cheaper than a bottle of water, so who doesn't like that?
